SMS Relay
The Telemune SMS Relay is a solution that can be used to reduce the load on existing SMSCs, while reducing the time-to-delivery for 80% of the SMS messages sent through the network. The Relay determines the destination of each MO SMS, and depending on the destination short code, intelligently routes the SMS to the relevant application. This removes the requirement of submitting each SMS to the SMSC.

In the new scenario, an SMS needs to be submitted to the SMSC only if the target application is unavailable. The Telemune SMS Relay also provides for direct delivery of Peer to Peer SMS Messages. 80% of the SMS messages can be directly delivered to the subscribers without having the need to submit the SMS to the SMSC. This significantly reduces the load on the SMSC, while reducing the time-to-delivery for the messages.
