Short Codes is generally a 2 to 6 digit number that the operators provide to their customers for easy access to value added services. Voicemail, emergency numbers, directory service, ambulance and cab, tele-voting. When a mobile user roams into another network- inbound roamer, he loses access to these short-codes, visited network is unable to translate the short codes into the actual intended numbers due to number-conflict or otherwise.
Telemune Home Short codes Service allows operators to let their inbound roamers avail of the same short codes they are familiar with in the home network even when they roam outside it. In addition, inbound roamers can dial well-known short codes for global brands and get the calls routed to the respective long numbers. Short codes can be routed to the Home network or the Visited network. |
